ITC 16 Hour Forest School First Aid

Fun practical course for those working in the Outdoors with Young People

100% practical course assessment with no written exam
This is a 2 day (16 hours) course for Level 3 Forest School practitioners during which we cover all areas recommended by the Forest School Association (FSA).

We will be covering

  • Roles & responsibilities of a Forest School First Aider,
  • Adult/Child/Infant specific treatments,
  • Dealing with collapse (with and without breathing),
  • Choking,
  • Bleeding, shock and minor injuries,
  • Major illnesses – asthma, allergies, diabetic emergency, heart attack, anaphylaxis, meningitis and febrile convulsions,
  • Limb injuries,
  • Poisoning in the Forest School environment,
  • Heat and cold injuries,
  • Using first aid kit,
  • Forest School specific scenarios, Outdoor incident management and looking after a casualty for more than 10 minutes

Additional Certification – The Assessment Pathway for this course covers the content for other qualifications, and therefore delegates can request additional certification as this course includes content for the following:

– Level 3 Award in Paediatric  First Aid (12hr)

– Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (6hr)

– Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work – Requalification (12hr)

– Level 3 Award in +F Emergency First Aid at Work (6hr)
